All my life I have been documenting things that move around me or catch my eye. A certain affection for longing, asking questions, searching, connecting and finding. That drives the urge to make things visual and permanent.
As a furniture maker/ designer I try blurring the boundaries between design, art, and craftsmanship, it becomes accessible and tangible.
I explore the possibility of merging an image with wood through various techniques. This allows a print to integrate seamlessly with the functional object (the piece of furniture), or the functional object to merge with the print. The furniture serves as the "frame," or vice versa.
Is an Amsterdam-based photographer and woodworker. Photography has been her lifelong passion, and woodworking/design for the past three years.
